Painting the Threads of Culture: A Hand-Painting & Embroidery Workshop
Join artist Bina Maracchini and Fufa for a unique workshop that bridges diverse cultures from artifacts into wearable art.
"My creative journey began under the spell of Cairo, a city where ancient whispers float on modern breezes. The monumental art of the Pharaohs was my first alphabet of form and symbol. Today, in collaboration with Fufa, a brand that so beautifully translates the Egyptian soul into contemporary wear, I invite you to rediscover that shared visual language. Together, we'll translate personal stories and ancient inspirations into hand-painted and embroidered symbols on unique Fufa garments."
In this special session, you'll learn Bina's signature technique of hand-painting directly onto fabric creating washes of color, symbolic forms, and textured backgrounds inspired by ancient Egyptian art and modern Cairo. Then, guided by the principles of Fufa's craft, you'll selectively embellish your painting with delicate embroidery, learning how thread can outline, highlight, and give depth to the painted image.
This is a rare opportunity to experience with artist Bina Maracchini from her diverse artistic background all the way from Africa, to Europe and Russia, where creative expression meets wearable culture, creating a one-of-a-kind Fufa piece layered with personal meaning and artistic technique.
